Traveler's Company Brass Bullit fountain pen!
After introducing the Brass collection in 2010, Traveler's Company now introduces the long awaited fountain pen and this is such a great addition!
This Brass Fountain Pen is made of solid brass and is remarkable in its design. It consists of two parts. When “closed” the pencil resembles a bullet casing and measures 110mm. When “opened” it measures 145mm, which fits like a glove.
The steel tip carries the 'Made in Japan' banner with pride and is made by skilled Japanese craftsmen.
On the top of the pen there is a small eye, which allows you to wear the pen with a string around your neck or attached to your bag.
Traveler's Company (Midori) Brass series is a stationery line made of solid brass (also see the solid brass pencil and solid brass ballpoint). This series proudly carries the ‘ages well’-signature; the longer you use it, the better it becomes.
Refill Cartridges are available in black and darkblue. They come in boxes with 5 cartridges.
Maintenance
Over time, the copper within the brass alloy oxidizes and your brass item might develop some verdigris (i.e. rust). You could polish your brass item with some metal polish, but we suggest you just leave it, the more scratches, moisty fingerprints and verdigris, the better!
All Brass writing tools are made in a small factory in the outskirts of Tokyo. What used to be a bullet factory during the wars, was turned into a postwar bullet-pen factory.
