Delta Vase – Designed by Mart van Schijndel
The Delta Vase, designed in 1981 by Dutch architect and designer Mart van Schijndel, is an iconic example of Dutch Design from the 1980s. With its minimalist and architectural design, this vase is a beautiful object to behold even without flowers inside.
Unlike traditional blown glass vases, the Delta Vase is constructed from three identical glass plates that are precisely glued together. This innovative construction creates a characteristic geometric shape with clean lines and a triangular structure.
The design was internationally acclaimed and won the Arango International Design Contest - Glass That Works in Miami in 1984. The Delta Vase has since been included in the collections of various museums, including the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
Every original Delta Vase is still handmade in the Netherlands and features an engraved signature of the designer, Mart van Schijndel. Unique design from Dutch soil! Features:
