Design House Luna Lamp Small
This perfectly round sphere is as beautiful as the full moon—no shadows, just a dazzling iridescent light. The Luna lamp was designed by Alexander Lervik for Design House Stockholm. The sphere is made of mouth-blown opal glass from Poland and is available in four sizes. This is the small.
The special feature of this lamp is that you virtually see no opening in the sphere. Alexander wanted the lid to be an invisible part of the sphere itself. An experienced glassblower at the Polish glassworks suggested using an old, forgotten machine to polish the edges of the sphere and the zero-tolerance cover. The rest of the suspension structure and the electrical cables are combined into a single cord.
Opal glass, also called milk glass, is recognizable by its crystal-clear underlayer with a thin white top layer. The lamp comes with an LED bulb. It has an E14 socket.
