The SOW is a handcrafted wooden box, perfect for storing a pack of your favorite hibi incense, both at home and while traveling.
Turn the box upside down to create a small space for the cardboard tray with the mat on which you can place the match. Light the match and enjoy the fragrance. The box is carefully crafted in Japan from solid sakura wood, which feels almost weightless and has a beautifully soft and smooth finish.

Project SOW is a collaboration between hibi and ambitious makers from across Japan, with the goal of modernizing and keeping traditions alive while preserving the local cultures they have inherited.

The wooden box can hold two boxes, so you can use two boxes of hibi matches or one box of matches with one mat inside the box for lighting the match. Please note: The box is delivered empty!

HIBI
Hibi means 'day to day', or daily, in Japanese. The idea is that you will keep hibi incense around you every day and freely enjoy the scent to suit the mood or occasion of each day. The logo design combines two Chinese characters '日' (day) next to each other.
