The inspiration for Kube comes from the mid-1950s, when a sofa with an exposed frame as a defining element was a key design principle. Simon Legald has reinterpreted this sofa for modern living, creating a design that is both timeless and effortlessly contemporary. The design contrasts the solidity of the wooden frame with the softness of the cushions, creating a harmonious visual balance that is both striking and inviting.
The thick planks in the cubist frame emphasize the durability and beauty of the material. Over time, a natural patina will develop, giving the sofa its own unique character. The frame of the Kube Sofa is crafted from FSC™️-certified (FSC-C163461) pine and pine from other controlled sources. Available in two finishes (natural and dark-stained pine) and various upholstery options in wool and leather for a personal touch. The sofa cushions are filled 50% with high-density foam and 50% with down feathers, ensuring exceptional comfort.
