Blackwing Balanced BLUE
The blue Blackwing Pearl colorway, together with the Pearl Pink, is a new addition to the Blackwing collection. These pencils contain the same balanced and smooth graphite core as the standard Pearl pencils. It is softer than the graphite in the Blackwing 602, but firmer than the graphite in the Blackwing Matte, a favorite among calligraphers and illustrators. The Pearl Blue pencil has a pearlescent blue finish with a silver print and a blue eraser.
Blackwing Pearl Blue pencils come in a 12-count gift box that doubles as a pencil cup.
Blackwing:
The story of the Blackwing pencils started in the 1930s when the Blackwing 602 was introduced by Eberhard Faber. In 1998, after several acquisitions, the product was no longer made. However, the Blackwing already had an enormous track record with artists, musicians and scientists who were willing to pay $40 per pencil on eBay. In 2010, Palomino, a company with almost 100 years of experience in the pencil business, reintroduced the Blackwing to the market. The best materials are used for this pencil.
The Blackwing slogan is “Half the Pressure, Twice the Speed”, which is due to the graphite in the core of this pencil. The eraser can also be easily removed and replaced with a new one. In our webshop you can order the erasers separately in several colors and thus personalize your blackwing.
