Extra Bold Armchair by Moustache
Big-Game's Extra Bold Armchair is as radical as it is comfortable. Unlike what it suggests, this chair offers surprising comfort. Like the Bold chair, stool and bench before it, the Extra Bold Armchair alternates between taut and soft curves which successively serve as a seat, backrest and armrest.
It imposes a strong sculptural dimension that contrasts with the feeling of extreme comfort experienced when seated.
The diameter of its tube, a very thick layer of injected foam and several technical details buried in the depth of the seat allow you to sit on its "tube" without feeling the slightest discomfort.
An invisible assembly system allows the seat and backrest to be flush with each other, barely brushing together.
The Bold series is designed by the Swiss studio Big Game. Their love for design with a twist is reflected in this series. Mr Linea (the line man) of cartoonist Osvaldo Cavandoli served as inspiration. This simplistic cartoon, set in a thick line, led to this fantastic series of seating furniture. The Bold series is included in the collections of the MoMa, Museum of Modern Arts in New York, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris and the Museum for Gestaltung in Zurich.
