The Jet shelf by Normann Copenhagen
The Jet shelf, designed by Simon Legald, is the result of a play with surfaces and production. The light aluminum shelf has a spacious design and a clear-cut industrial silhouette, making it appear like a part of a jet fighter’s aerodynamic construction.
An asymmetric relationship between a horizontal and vertical surface creates the Jet shelf’s architectural design and comes together as an attractive platform for storage and display. The profile has small incisions, which create the attractive grooved surface texture. The grooves also ensure that the items placed on the shelf are less likely to slide.
The raw industrial look makes Jet a refreshingly alternative choice for a wall shelf. The Jet is available in four colors. The white Jet is made of Powder coated aluminum, the black, silver and champagne is made of Aluminum with anodized surface. Depending on the available space you can choice between two sizes: 160 cm and 80 cm

- The Jet is delivered with plugs and screws + mounting bracket.
- Max load on the shelf is estimated to 8 kg on 800 mm and 12 kg on 1600mm.

About designer Simon Legald:
Simon Legald graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 2012. His designs are often created in a dialogue between craftsmanship and industry. He also likes to incorporate the techniques that are necessary for the structure of a product into the design by highlighting them visually. Honesty is also an important issue for Simon, because this is what makes a product understandable and is what describes the products functionality.
To him the essence of his design is for it to be bought and used. Therefore, it has to satisfy not only the functional aspects, but also the psychological and aesthetic needs.
