ystudio & the 'weight of words'
ystudio origings in Taiwan and was founded in 2012. What ystudio creates is not just the object itself, but also the true meaning behind it. They believe that each object embodies a deeper meaning. Through their products, they hope to bring people more imagination in their lives, that’s why they design products for daily use. ystudio believes that the value of simplicity in design is very important. They love to explore almost forgotten cultures and crafts to use in our modern way of live but than at a slower pace.
Let’s turn off the computers and start writing from the heart searching for our most sincere thoughts and emotions. ystudio wants to tell you a story about writing, to feel the warmth and the weight of words once again.
Ystudio designs and produces with the same love and care their fountain pens, ballpoints and pencils. Made by the local factories in Taiwan, each of the stationery from ystodio is manufactured by the scorching heat of one thousand degrees in furnace, and characterized by the masters’ hands with decades of experience. Although the stationary carried a little bit weight and some rust on it which reflects that the products are absolutely honest and durable just like the people who live in Taiwan.
The color of copper would be changed by different users and various environments yet this is also its unique feature. The oxide is harmless. It would restore its original luster by wiping with copper oil. Without any surface treatment, each product can mantain its individual marks by the constant use of owner.
